Innovation moves on... !
We have been refining our innovative ELFD (Electricity Less Forced Draft) Sampada Smokeless Stove to suit a larger spectrum of cooking needs. As a part of this, a cooking trial was carried out at Vishwadeep Pressparts Pvt Ltd, who are helping us with redesigning the pot holder of the stove.
On August 22, 2015, we did a cooking trial, which was a rousing success! We cooked peas pulav with 10 kg rice and 2 kg peas. The total cooking time was just 45 min, and the total fuel consumed (a mix of wood pieces, wooden box waste, and coconut shells) was only 4.5 kg About 1 kg charcoal was still left in the stove, which would have allowed us a to do a few more things, if we had the time, energy and resources!
Everyone at the factory that day including our team (about 50-60 people) lunched on the tasty pulav. A successful cooking trial, indeed!
We are grateful to everyone at the factory for their co-operation and patience with us in the trials that we have been conducting there throughout August!
This stove, designed for large kitchens or community cooking, has the following advantages:
